New Jersey is another Eastern Conference team that is always hanging around .500. Their blockbuster acquisition of Vince Carter has not proven to be what they wanted yet, and then sending Richard Jefferson to the Bucks and Jason Kidd to the Mavericks has really hurt New Jersey as well. The Nets only solid position is their SF, but they need improvement at all other positions. New Jersey only has one pick in this year's draft.
At pick #11 the Nets should draft:
Brandon Jennings - USA
PG
6'1" 170 lbs.
Jennings could easily translate to a player similar to Kenny Anderson in the NBA. His wingspan and leaping ability put him in a rare category of point guards. Jennings is very good at changing direction mid-stride without losing speed or control of the ball and he is extremely dangerous off the dribble, where his first step and nice handles allow him to explode by defenders easily. Jennings does not take great care of the ball, but is rather very careless with it, trying to make the flashy play rather than the simple and correct one.
Predicted 2009-2010 record: 38-44
