The Milwaukee Bucks are one of a handful of teams in the Eastern Conference that are always hanging around .500 or just below. What the Bucks are lacking are that one certain superstar/go-to-guy that they can rely on. Michael Redd is a star in the NBA but he does not have the team around him that he needs for him to be known as a superstar. The Bucks have had past success in the draft with players such as Andrew Bogut and Joe Alexander.
At pick #10 the Bucks should draft:
Jeff Teague - Wake Forest
PG
6'2" 175 lbs.
Teague is very good at using his body to shield the ball from help defenders when finishing in the lane and he is able to adjust his shots in mid air, making it very difficult to block him. Teague's great hands and foot speed allow him to be a menace on the defensive end at times. Teague can be compared to Kevin Johnson. Teague's biggest weakness is that he is not a pure PG. Even though he has good vision and decent ability to deliver the ball, he lacks the mentality of a playmaker.
At pick #41 the Bucks should draft:
Josh Heytvelt - Gonzaga
PF
6'11" 246 lbs.
Heytvelt has excellent athleticism for his size and he is a great receiver of the alley-oop. He is very lengthy and is an excellent shot blocker and is a solid rebounder. Heytvelt also gets good elevation on his jumpshots. Heytvelt must bulk up without losing any of his speed and mobility, which could be a balancing act. He has also yet to show that he can be trusted with putting the ball on the floor. Heytvelt can be compared to Scot Pollard.
Predicted 2009-2010 record: 42-40
