Golden State Warriors 2009 Draft

The Golden State Warriors shocked everyone 2 seasons ago when they made the playoffs for the first time in forever, but last season went back to their losing ways. The Warriors are a roster full of potential, young talent and developing stars such as Monta Ellis. Biedrins and Maggette also add experience to the roster. The Warriors have great talent and are amazing when it comes to scoring, but their defense sucks, which is why they keep losing. The Warriors have one pick this season.

At pick #7 the Warriors should draft:
Jonny Flynn - Syracuse
PG
6'0" 196 lbs.

Flynn compares to "Mighty Mouse" Damon Stoudamire. Flynn enjoys playing defense and seems to take pride in shutting down opposing point guards and, though he doesn't look overly muscular, Flynn possesses – and utilizes – great body strength for a 190-pound guard. Flynn loves attacking the rim, but the problem is that he is only 6 feet tall. NBA guards are much bigger than college guards, which'll make it much harder for Flynn to be able to attack the rim. I see Flynn as a starter this season for the Warriors.

Predicted 2009-2010 record: 40-42
