In last season's draft, the Bulls luckily landed the #1 pick in the draft. With this pick they drafted the 2008-2009 NBS Rookie of the Year, Derrick Rose. With new head coach, Vinny Del Negro, and Derrick Rose, the Bulls were able to make it to the 2008-2009 NBA Playoffs where they gave the Boston Celtics a run for their money in the first round, losing the series in 7 games. Both of Chicago's picks in this year's draft are in the first round.
At pick #16 the Bulls should draft:
Earl Clark - Louisville
SF
6'10" 226 lbs.
Clark had a very successful Junior season at Louisville taking them to the Final Four. His athleticism and explosiveness allow him to play against bigger defenders inside or quicker ones on the perimeter. His highpost game has become his niche, because he can back down and outmuscle smaller players, or face up and attack the bigger defenders.
At pick #26 the Bulls should draft:
Derrick Brown - Xavier
SF
6'8" 225 lbs.
The Bulls are successful when they draft "Derrick's". Brown's jab and shot fake are his go to moves and are very effective, forcing the defenders to back off. Brown's release is fairly slow allowing defenders to close out on him, making open shots far more difficult, but his strengths outweigh his weaknesses. Brown will develop to be a great starter in the NBA someday.
Predicted 2009-2010 record: 46-36
